Tampa, Fla. (March 10, 2011) – Applied
Data Corporation (ADC), a leading provider of fresh item, recipe
management, and scales management software to the grocery retail
and food service industries, announces that a 10 store chain in
the Mid-West USA has licensed ADC's InterStore.NET suite of software
for their Fresh Item Management (FIM) initiative.
ADC's InterStore.NET centrally manages fresh category item details and provides stores with tools to better manage every aspect of their fresh departments and fresh inventories.
"We have seen a 3% reduction in fresh shrink by implementing ADC's InterScale Scales Management, Shrink Management and Markdown Modules," said the FIM Project Manager.
The retailer employed a thorough Request For Proposal (RFP) process, seeking a FIM solution that could be implemented in phases. ADC's ability to provide a modular, configurable FIM solution addressed the retailer's priority to incrementally integrate the FIM solution into their business.
"The client saw that ADC's software is a modular suite and that we work with each of our clients to ensure that all of their FIM needs are met," said Mark Molter, ADC's Director of Channel Development. "They desired a solution that would increase efficiencies in each of their stores, as well as in their central production kitchen that supplies their stores."
InterStore.NET helps make fresh item processes easier for store and headquarters associates to complete—while reducing costs. InterStore.NET also reduces the grocer's perishable waste and increases fresh sales by ensuring that adequate amounts of fresh items are produced and moving through their fresh categories.
"Our clients rely on ADC's rich set of modules within the InterStore.NET FIM suite to make their fresh department operations more efficient. InterStore.NET uses web-based technologies to better manage inventory at the stores and to provide better information to enterprise systems—such as merchandising and supply chain," stated Steve Loveridge, ADC's President and CEO.
